Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all projects undertaken by Paper Aeroplane Creative Ltd. All creative design services are undertaken on the understanding that the client has agreed to abide by the terms and conditions outlined. 

Fees 

The cost of a project is outlined in the proposal.

All projects below £100 require payment upon receipt of the invoice and before Paper Aeroplane Creative starts work.

All projects above £100 require a 50% deposit paid upon receipt of the first invoice and before Paper Aeroplane Creative starts work. The remaining 50% is due before the artwork and guidelines are created.

The balance of the invoice must be paid before any artwork is released.

Additional fees for additions to projects will be outlined to the client before commencing the additional work.

Late payment

The client will assume any and all of the costs incurred by Paper Aeroplane Creative Ltd for recovering the debt. A 5% delayed payment fee will be added to the bill and an additional 5% will be added for each recurring calendar month.

Refunds

Due to the bespoke nature of the design process, Paper Aeroplane Creative does not offer refunds, and has the right to cease working on a project if the brief changes in such a way to compromise the integrity of the company without issuing a refund.

Cancellation

The cancellation of projects must be made in writing. The client will then be invoiced for any outstanding stages, above the amount of the non-refundable deposit. The outstanding amount must be paid within 14 days.

Expenses

Any expenses incurred on a project will be added to the final invoice payment.

Expenses can include but are not limited to:
Fonts, Stock Images, Photography, Illustration, Hand Lettering, Copywriting and Proofreading.

Timings and Deadlines

Both timings and deadlines will be discussed at the outset of the project, it is the client’s responsibility to inform Paper Aeroplane Creative Ltd of any changes to the deadline.

It is important to feedback to Paper Aeroplane Creative Ltd in a timely fashion to keep the project running smoothly, slow response times can delay projects immensely.

Confidentiality

Paper Aeroplane Creative Ltd understands the importance of the confidentiality of a project in progress and won’t disclose what we are working on until completion of the project.

If further confidentiality is required for a period of time them please inform us in writing before the end of the project.

Proofing

All proofreading is the responsibility of the client and the client should thoroughly read all copies before sending it across to the designer. Upon receipt of the final artwork, it is the client’s responsibility to thoroughly check the artwork for copy errors and colours before releasing the artwork to the printer.

Any errors noticed after the completion of the project is amended at a cost to the client of £70 per hour.

Copyright and Intellectual Property

Once the invoice has been paid in full, the Copyright and Intellectual Property of the final design belong to the client.

Until the invoice is paid all Copyright and Intellectual Property belongs to Paper Aeroplane Creative Ltd.

All intellectual property of design route(s) not chosen belongs to Paper Aeroplane Creative Ltd.

Paper Aeroplane Creative Ltd reserve the right to use design(s) for marketing material both online and in print and content is given by the client.

It is the client’s responsibility to obtain all the correct copyright for any images, illustrations, or fonts supplied to the designer.

Paper Aeroplane Creative Ltd will not take responsibility for any legal action taken for copyright infringement.

Fonts

Due to licensing restrictions, Paper Aeroplane Creative Ltd cannot supply the client with font files but we will provide the information so that the client can purchase the correct files from the originator.

Availability

I run the business flexibly around my family, this does mean I work part-time. My child-free hours are Tuesday, Wednesdays & Thursdays, 9.30-2.30.

I try my best to be flexible to everyone’s needs but outside of the child-free hours I put my job as a parent first. This does mean at times when the children are poorly I may need to cancel meetings. I will do my very best to keep disruption to a minimum and ‘touch wood’, I have pretty healthy kids.

I apologise now for any emails sent at an anti-social hour and do not expect responses from clients at weekends or evenings!
